Peanut Aware School

August Ahrens Elementary School is a peanut-aware school. This means we do our best to limit possible exposure to allergens on campus. To prevent life-threatening allergic reactions, we ask that you do not allow your child to bring food products containing nuts and peanuts. We are requesting your help to provide these students with a safe school environment.

If your child has eaten peanuts or nuts before coming to school, please be sure your child’s hands and face have been thoroughly washed before entering the school.

Please, remind your child(ren) not to share food with each other. We will also remind students not to share food with each other.

● No outside items will be delivered to classrooms this school year

○ Example- birthday cake, class gifts for celebration, etc
